WalkUp Pro — Privacy Policy

WalkUp Pro is a baseball/softball coaching app that lets a coach build
short walk-up music clips for each player and play them during a game.
This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
What we store on your device
Your roster, walk-up song selections, audio library, break playlists,
team settings, and announcement preferences are stored locally on the
device using the operating system's standard app storage. We do not
upload or back up that data to our servers.
What we send to our servers

Apple Music catalog search — when you search for a
song, the search query is forwarded to Apple's catalog API through
our server. We do not log or retain the queries.

Announcer audio generation — when you generate a
"Classic" PA announcement for a player, the player's name (and the
voice style you chose) is sent to a third-party text-to-speech
provider (OpenAI and/or ElevenLabs) to produce the audio clip. The
resulting audio is returned to your device and cached locally.

Team Share Code — if you choose to generate a share
code, a snapshot of your team (roster names, jersey numbers, song
selections by Apple Music ID, playlist configurations, and team
settings) is sent to our server, given a 6-character code, and held
for 30 days so another coach can import it. Player photos and any
local audio files you imported yourself are stripped before upload
and never leave your device. You can stop sharing by letting the
code expire.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect names, emails, accounts, or location.
- We do not show ads and we do not use third-party analytics or trackers.
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
- Player photos and locally-imported audio files never leave your device.
Apple Music
Playing full songs requires an active Apple Music subscription. Apple
Music playback runs through Apple's MusicKit on your device and is
governed by
Apple's privacy policy.
We do not see your Apple Music account or listening history.
Children
WalkUp Pro is intended for use by coaches and parents. The app does
not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date at
the top of this page.
